Item description for Kindred Sisters by Dandi Daley Mackall...
Overview Kindred Sisters is a spiritual book of devotions for women which illustrates how Christ transformed New Testament women into wise wome, changed women, courageous women, and enterprising women, and how He continues to transform women's lives today.
These are the fruits of the Spirit promised to us in Galatians 5. In this collection of true stories from workshops throughout the country, Bobbie Reed leads readers to ponder how these fruits have been experienced in everyday lives of contemporary Christians, and to reflect on how they can be nurtured to further their own spiritual growth.
The book is divided into nine sections, one for each of the fruits of the Spirit, with nine or more meditations on each gift. The stories have been collected and used for over twenty years in the author's seminars and conferences across the country. This is an excellent resource for small group study, Christian storytelling, and sermon preparation.

Reviews - What do customers think about Kindred Sisters?
Fascinating look at historical and contemporary characters May 1, 1999
Dandi Mackall's technique of reviewing the historical context of New Testament women and then relating them to contemporary women and situations is a refreshing way to "connect" past and present. I read the book and immediately sent it to my daughter to use in her 7th grade Sunday School class. I highly recommend this book for teaching or just for very interesting reading!
