These days, more and more children are going through that rite of passage known as getting braces. So there's a huge audience out there just waiting to embrace this very hip, very cool, and very original journal for chronicling the experience. Created by bestselling author Dan Price, this beautifully designed guide is entirely hand-lettered and drawn, and captures every moment, from the first appointment to that blessed day when the orthodontist says "All done!" and finally removes the braces. It has space for before and after photographs, room to track orthodontist visits, "Fun Facts" pages, suggested "Books to Read," the dreaded "Forbidden Foods" list, and fun illustrations on "Troubleshooting" common problems with your braces. This is an all-around great gift!

Reviews - What do customers think about The Braces Journal?
Wonderful Journal for "Brace Faces" Everywhere! Jun 11, 2008
It can be so difficult for any kid to go through adolescence as a "brace face," and this journal, with its fun, colorful designs and creative layout, makes the perfect companion for anyone who struggles with braces. It's also as helpful [with "forbidden foods" lists, etc.] as it is fun. My kids love it!
Great book by a very talented writer and artist May 8, 2008
Getting braces can be an emotional and painful experience. This little journal not only helps keep the child focused on the various stages of getting and having braces, but includes wonderful bits of information to help take the child's mind off the painful process of wearing braces. There's the "before" and "after" photo spots, the encouraging text to help keep the child's spirits up throughout the ordeal, and even sections on what to do in an emergency were one of the braces to pop off or become a problem. Dan Price is a very creative mind, and this is another wonderful book that should be given to every child about to experience braces.

Total waste of money. Silly idea to start with. This journal will serve well as landfill material.
