Reviews - What do customers think about A Man After God's Own Heart?
Want the truth? Aug 3, 2006
The truth is that Dan Cater wrote a magnificent book about real life. It isn't sugar coated. It's a gut wrenching account of one man's life changed forever by the Master of the Universe. It made me laugh. It made me cry. It made me realize that the life that I want to live is the life that Dave lived. This book is a must read for anyone seeking after hope and love in a world filled with despair and hate.
Another Beautiful Example of the Prodigal Son Jul 22, 2006
Dan Cater's A Man After God's Own Heart is a story with which virtually everyone could identify. Parents, teens, younger children, siblings, counselors, and the list goes on! It is a captivating story of a young man who turns away from God and family and returns, after great struggles, a stronger and more loving person. The journal entries at the beginning of each chapter are inspiring and invite self-examination. It is hard to put down, and though there is much depth to it, it is an "easy read." I highly recommend this book to people of all ages!
If anyone has ever struggled... Jun 13, 2006
This book goes in depth about real-life struggles with drugs, relationships, trust, and being totally vunerable to God. Dan Cater writes with pure and raw emotion, the depths of depression and finding what it can be like to accept forgiveness; forgiveness from God, from others, and also from yourself. I would recommend this book to anyone, especially those who want to feel like they are not alone in their struggles, and that there is a Way out.
