Overview
The true story of life's journey from boyhood to manhood. From the edge of a small town to the edge of a backwoods. And into the lonely wild places where adventure and a thrill a minute would satisfy the longing within the Author's spirit. The story tells of the Author's pioneer mother who weathered many of life's sorrows and stayed cheerful and helpful to all who crossed her path. When the Author was 8 his mother moved with the small children to an old homestead at the end of a gravel road. Where the Author's dreams suddenly became a reality. And a woodsman he would become. Most important of all is the master whom Dale meets at journey's end.

Publishers Description
The true story of life's journey from boyhood to manhood. From the edge of a small town to the edge of a backwoods. And into the lonely wild places where adventure and a thrill a minute would satisfy the longing within the Author's spirit. Of growing up poor and hating injustice. And finding out life does not consist of the abundance of our possessions, but life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness comes from the one who created it. It is a story of the mistakes and failures we all make, hard lessons learned on life's journey. Of sage advice given but not always taken. The real simple joy of life as it was in the good ol' days. Where neighbors were like family. And family tragedies came out of nowhere. The Author's life of adventure and misdeeds took him to the logging camps of Alaska and many exciting places in between. Never forgetting the great interesting people he met along the way, who he brings to life within these pages. Most important of all is the master whom Dale meets at journey's end. Dale Francis Terrillion was born in Lewis County, Adirondack Mountains upstate New York. His "schooln'" came by way of a one room school house, a parochial school, and the great outdoor academy. Against the advice of mother and relatives he quit the first two and graduated from the latter with a masters in woods lore. After decades as a timber cutter Daleaged into a Ol' woodsmans life. Using his woods knowledge to build fine furniture which he still does today. Dale and his wife, Geraldine, have been married 39 years. They have 4 grown children and 13 grandchildren. Dale is currently working on a collection of stories called" Out'n the Woods Again," and is building the third cabin for him and his wife in the mountains of Montana near Flathead Lake.
