Reviews - What do customers think about Loyalty and Disloyalty?
Loyality and Disloyality Jan 22, 2008
I would like to say that the book "Loyalty and Disloyalty" by Dag Heward-Mills is one of the most astounding books of suspicion of church members and church leaders that I have ever read. I was appalled at what was being taught as "wonderful leadership skills" to Pastors and to church leadership of how to be on the "watch" for "people he assumes is trying to undermine or take "your"/pastors position. This books teaches one to be on guard and suspicious of everyone around you and to cut them off immediately if any signs of "disloyality" are detected without giving the supposed accused person any opportunity for explaination. To other pastors and church leaders...doesn't the New Testment plainly state how "offenses" toward others especially "sheep" are to be handled? Unfortunately it is only Mr Mills opinions of what qualifies as "disloyality" instead of the Bibles views. No where in the book did it ever mention the scriptures about Jesus' teaching of "walking in Love" toward others, much less the biblical teaching of "believing the best of every person", 1 Cornithians chapter 13 or "forgiveness". Instead, in the book to protect himself, Mr. Mills states that a person should be cast away/put out of the church immediately without any opportunity for reconcilation. I am glad that Jesus never had this teaching because if so everyone would be lost. This book personifies insecurity, control and building your "own empire" at the expense and hurt of others.
A VERY PRACTICAL SUBJECT Nov 3, 2006
The book offers a practical approach to the subject of Loyalty & Disloyalty. It is very relevant not just to the Church but to every human institution. But for the Church, it is a must read for every pastor or lay person in the work of the ministry.
Absolute Best Book for Church Leaders Apr 20, 2006
As a pastor, I have read many books on church leadership. This book was so well written and relevant to every church, no matter what demonination you are - this book will split-proof your church. We taught it word by word in our Wed. night Bible study and it has strenghtened our entire church body, particularly our leadership. We recommend it highly to every Christian, especially to leaders. Thank you to Rev. Dag Heward-Mills. Hope to meet you someday. Pastors Larry & Cecilia Hasting. Columbia, TN (USA)
