Reviews - What do customers think about Bad Hair Days, Rainy Days, and Mondays: Wisdom and Encouragement to Lift a Woman's Spirit?
Fun but rather random daily notes Jul 31, 2006
This slim book is made up of 31 daily readings, each of which is two pages long, on varied subjects around life. There's no obvious theme or structure to the arrangement of the book - it's just different thoughts following a scripture passage. It's written in a friendly, talkative side and Cynthia Hopson gives plenty of examples from her own life. It was easy to identify with a lot of her points of discussion - our lives being over-busy with church activities, issues of self-image and wanting to be appreciated, the difficulties in juggling home, work, church and everything else we are supposed to do. A lot of her thoughts are very appealing - don't bother with the vacuuming, just go out and watch a film; don't worry if you're having a bad hair day as people want to talk to YOU, not your hair - although some might rather depend on your personality. But overall it was a fun book. I'm not sure quite how useful it would be overall as a study guide, but I did enjoy reading it.
