Reviews - What do customers think about A Bible Handbook to the Acts of the Apostles?
more than a handbook May 17, 2000
"A Bible Handbook to the Acts of the Apostles" is a very useful handbook, suitable for the student, the lay-person, or the minister of many years. Its format is well laid-out and easy to follow; a very readable book.
Two chapters are found to be very helpful, even for one who has been many years in the ministry. The first of these is Chapter 2, particularly the section dealing with Roman Catholic teaching on the church. It shows that though teaching and practice have changed over the years, the basic doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church has not changed; thus, present practice and teaching is at odds with basic doctrine.
CHAPTER 3, dealing with the person of Christ, is very helpful as the names and titles of Christ are drawn together so we can more easily see who Christ is and what He does.
This is a book that could easily be read through from cover to cover, rather than being used just as a handbook. Highly recommended.
