More About Cornelis Bennema & David Wenham

Cornelis C Bennema Dr. Cornelis Bennema is Professor and Head of the Department of New Testament at South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies (SAICS). He holds a PhD in New Testament from the London School of Theology, Brunel University, UK. Cornelis Bennema comes from the Netherlands, where he worked as an IT professional for five years. Between 1996 and 1999, he spent half of his time in India, including teaching at Allahabad Bible Seminary. He has authored or co-authored 3 books, Excavating John's Gospel: A Commentary for Today a commentary on the book of John. The Power of Saving Wisdom: An Investigation of Spirit and Wisdom in Relation to the Soteriology of the Fourth Gospel investigates the Soteriology of the John, the Fourth Gospel. How do readers, past and present relate to the message of Jesus in the book of John? Encountering Jesus: Character Studies in the Gospel of John asks and answers that question. In 2002, Dr Bennema started teaching at SAIACS. His research interests are John’s Gospel, Second Temple Judaism, pneumatology and Biblical theology.
