It is the only museum in the world dedicated exclusively to jewelry. The collection ranges from Greek, Etruscan and Roman jewelry through the Renaissance, Baroque, Jugendstil/Art Nouveau and Art Deco. There is also a unique collection of modern art jewelry from the past fifty years. The extensive Pforzheim Museum collection of rings from antiquity to the present is particularly important.
