Item description for The Committee: They Decide If I Live or Die by Clay Cornelius...
Sanity is a precious commodity... Destruction awaits those with a shaky foundation. Author Clay Cornelius describes the true story of his collapse in The Committee. To the outside world, his life looked stable, but inside a battle raged to maintain the very structure of his being. He unknowingly built his life on drugs and alcohol, until he finally realized that the doom of this foundation was inevitable. But is there enough time to restructure? Is there anyone that can help him out of his deadly spiral? Is there hope? In The Committee, Clay Cornelius answers these questions with his life. His innovative viewpoint on mental dishevelment gives a new perspective on the struggle for self-control. His mind pulls him in every direction as he discovers who he was, who he is, and who he will be. For anyone that fights a life-or-death battle with substance abuse, or for anyone who wants to understand that struggle better, this book uniquely illustrates the mental intensity of that internal war.

Reviews - What do customers think about The Committee: They Decide If I Live or Die?
Uplifting to the spirit Sep 26, 2008
This short novel is a great read with interesting plot twists and turns. The idea of the committee is brilliant and relates to everyone of us. It's a new age version of Hawthorne's, Young Goodman Brown, and gives reassurance to anyone battling substance abuse and lack of faith.
A great story! Mar 3, 2008

Fabulously written! Feb 6, 2008
I would recommend this book to anyone with a problem with substance abuse. You may have the problem with substances or you may be affected by someone who abuses. This book is written very well, and provides an insightful look into the mind of someone who abuses substances. I read the book in four hours! I had to know what was going to happen next.
