Christy's keen spiritual insight and her wealth of life and corporate experience combine to present compelling and persuasive analogies that will clearly resonate with the reader. She's open and honest in her approach, candidly sharing her story as she skillfully proves the relevance of her message.
In the 25th Chapter of the Book of Leviticus, God told Moses to give direction to the Children of Israel to protect the land through the sabbatical cycle. For six years, they would farm the land for their sustenance. But, in the seventh year, the land would be allowed to rest and be replenished of its nutrients. This cycle would repeat for seven weeks of years, or forty-nine years, with the fiftieth year declared a specialSabbath, a Year of Jubilee. In this special year of rest, not only did the land receive a reprieve, but men were set free, possessions were returned to the original owners, provision was made for the people, and kingdom principles were followed by all.
God is concerned about the occurrences in our daily lives and has made provision for our rest. Although there were points of rest for the Children of Israel during the sabbatical cycles, this did not fully address man's issues. Jesus came to establish a perpetual, spiritual Jubilee.
For the Children of Israel to experience the rest designed for the seventh year, a plan was presented and had to be followed. The people and the land had to perform double duty in the sixth year in preparation of the Sabbath. This preparation was critical. In the forty- eighth year, God commanded a special blessing on the land that it may abound extensively in preparation of the special Sabbaths that followed.
We must allow the wisdom of God to fully operate in our lives that we may complete our cycle of spiritual growth. We must yield to the righteousness of the Lord in Christ Jesus.
The liberty Christ promised came on Pentecost. Where the Spirit of God is, there is liberty-or Jubilee And our rest is present in the Holy Ghost. The complexities of life are seen more clearly when exposed to the light of the Word of God. The Spirit of Truth makes clear and distinguishable those things in our lives that are in contrast to the laws and nature of God. In this day of political correctness, situational ethics and abandoned morality, it is vital that we continue to grow in Christ, increasing in wisdom and knowledge, to protect and preserve our hearts andminds in this evil day. In addition, there are many, many benefits available to us - we can never exhaust them nor will we attain them all in this present world. So, keep striving for perfection and pressing towards the mark, that grace may abound in your lives and God may be glorified. He is soon to return, so if you are ever going to do it, do it now.. It's the 49th year

A Must Read if you want true deliverance! Apr 29, 2006
Powerful book. This book takes the reader through the stages of deliverance using the journey of the children of Israel as the background. The intertwining of the children of Israel's deliverance and the writer's personal deliverance leads the reader through the process of breaking the chains of bondage. This bondage is described in terms of relationships with family, friends, and even other believers of Christ. The scriptural references are used as a springboard that drives the reader through the scriptural truth to personal relevance. I got a deliverance in many areas while reading the book because the examples are so relevant!
The writer uses examples that the reader can relate to personally. This book is revealing, honest and open. It gives the reader an outlet from the issues that sometimes keep us in bondage. There were many "Amen" moments while reading this book. I could see myself in many examples while reading the 49th year. The writer discusses the different types of love. The love of Jesus is what Christianity rests on and it is the most important love of all. We all fight battles even in the body of Christ. We all have struggles and bondages but if we hold on, our deliverance will come (The 49th year), the year of Jubilee!!!
Very Real and down to earth. Great Book! Sep 12, 2005
This book was very real and challenges your actions and thoughts. It provokes you to move from a traditional way of thinking and has a strong Biblical viewpoint. I highly recommend the book.
