Reviews - What do customers think about Created and Redeemed: The Universal Message of John Paul II's Theology of the Body?
Only a Study Guide with important quotes Jan 5, 2006
Created and Redeemed is a thin workbook-sized study guide consisting of important quotes pertaining to John Paul II's Theology of the Body. The quotes are taken from the Bible, the actual Theology of the Body talks, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Love and Responsibility, the Documents of Vatican II, and several other sources.
I got my copy at a seminar given by Theology of the Body guru Christopher West. During his talks, he would refer to the quotes so the crowd could read along and take notes. I believe this booklet was written to go along with West's talks on tape and CD by the same name.
This book wouldn't be very useful just to read it on its own. The quotes are grouped into similar subject areas, but they don't transition from one to the other or anything since they're from different sources. You may need to either be at, or listening to, a Christopher West talk or in a study group to utilize this book.
It is, however, a good collection of quotes about the ideas put forth in the Theology of the Body.
