Overview Annotation: In biblical terms, a mantle is the equivalent of a legacy. A student and friend of Henri Nouwen for over twenty-five years interprets Nouwen's sacred writings and presents one hundred meditations on his words, in the hope that Nouwen's ministry will continue to thrive. Each encouraging meditation is divided into a portion of Nouwen's writings, a reflection on Nouwen's insights, and a brief prayer.

Reviews - What do customers think about Henri's Mantle: 100 Meditations on Nouwen's Legacy?
Henri's Mantle Mar 11, 2008
Henri's Mantle: 100 Meditations on Nouwen's Legacy Henri Nouwen and his student Chris Glaser have both enriched my spiritual journey through their individual books. Chris begins with a quote from one of Henri's books, often puts it into Henri's life context and then reflects upon the quote. Being a student of Henri, Chris has personal correspondence and conversations to draw upon to add to the picture of Henri. Each of the 100 meditations is about 2 pages long. The table of contents summarizes in 2 to 6 words what each meditation is about so that a reader can skim through the contents to find the meditation that might be most meaningful for the immediate moment. This is a book to meditate upon for 100 days and not read all of it at one sitting. This book is going to join the short list of books that I turn to again and again for personal reflection.
