Reviews - What do customers think about DK Readers: The Secret Life of Trees (Level 2: Beginning to Read Alone)?
fine, but not exciting Dec 30, 2009
My 5.5yr old son generally loves the DK readers, but this is probably his least favorite. It's not an exciting topic like astronauts or volcanos. But we do read it occasionally and it's informative.
Two boys' review: Trees are a hotel for animals, birds and bugs Jul 19, 2008
While not as exciting as Micro Monsters or some of the other DK Readers titles, this book is still in our boys' bookshelf. We moved to a new neighborhood where there are several resident squirrels. Our boys wanted to know more about them and why they live in trees.
This book is perfect for kids aged up to 6. I like the pictures, which generates a lot of questions at bedtime.
Here's some other DK Readers science books that I recommend: * DK Readers: Slinky, Scaly Snakes (Level 2: Beginning to Read Alone) (Paperback) * DK Readers: Bugs! Bugs! Bugs! (Level 2: Beginning to Read Alone) (Paperback) * DK Readers: Munching, Crunching, Sniffing, and Snooping (Level 2: Beginning to Read Alone) (Paperback) * DK Readers: Plants Bite Back! (Level 3: Reading Alone) (Paperback) * Micro Monsters: Life Under the Microscope (Paperback)
Loved this book! Jun 24, 2008
This is another great DK Reader. It is for level 2 readers, but you can read it to your children (3-5 years). It is very intersting and takes kids through the life of a tree, parts, oldest tree, etc. I learned some things too!
