Item description for The Hidden Power of Watching and Praying by Mahesh Chavda & Bonnie Chavda...
Overview Much of today?s church is powerless because it?s prayerless. Prayer is the single most important ministry of the church, yet much of the church today is powerless because it is prayerless. The Lord has issued a renewed call to corporate fasting and intercessory prayer for the deliverance and healing of the nations in preparation for His return. Such a call requires: ?Sacrifice. ?Complete surrender to Christ. ?Dogged willingness to engage the enemy on the field of battle. Answering this call to battle is not for the faint of heart, but for those who truly want to make a difference for the Kingdom of God in their world. Jesus said to them,?It is written,?My house will be called a place for praying? (Matthew 21:13, Great Book). Learn how you can access and demonstrate The Hidden Power of Watching and Praying.Your prayer life will never be the same as you are strengthened with the power of God as you pray.

Reviews - What do customers think about Hidden Power Of Watching And Praying?
The prayer we have named the Lord's Prayer Feb 13, 2009
Pastor Chavda and his wife Bonnie have from their hearts written another excellent book. It is refeshing to read the depth of the Word of our Lord in this book. As a previous Teacher of the Lord's Prayer I will certainly use this great book as the reference study book for the next opportunity I have to lead in the study of this prayer. One of the best chapters is Chapter 7 Forgiven and Forgiving, and the next is Chapter 10 Dunamis that brings in the Power of Pentecost. This is what I call a "quick read" book that your re-read, and re-read with His Joy and Peace.
The Results of Praying Together with Expectancy Feb 11, 2009
In "The Hidden Power of Watching and Praying" Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda incorporate twelve phrases taken from the Lord's model prayer. It is their intent to encourage and challenge the reader to access the power of prayer with expectancy as they offer up a smelling aroma of the sacrifice of prayer to the heavenly father.
Dramatic experiences resulting from corporate prayer talk about specific incidents and life changing moments which were the results of waiting and watching in a united venture of community prayer.
Chavda draws heavily from both the Old and New Testaments to introduce scriptural principles that reinforce the importance of fasting and prayer as a church body.
Chavda's writing is consecrated and anointed. He exemplifies holiness and reverence as he shows evidence of an understanding of what it means to enter into the sacredness of God's presence.
I enjoyed the sensitivity of Bonnie's writing, especially in the chapter titled "Do What's Best: Your Will Be Done." She describes this as an active prayer as it is activating what is settled in heaven to be loosed on earth as we align ourselves with God's divine intent. She concludes, "Praying the will of God instigates an aggressive advance of the Kingdom of God against the kingdom of darkness."
Testimonies of God's provision in providing immediate needs, in answer to prayer, as well as those telling of forgiveness and of forgiving touched my heart. The chapter on temptation and being delivered from evil address subjects such as awakening moral conscience, pulling down the strongholds, and standing your ground, while watching in prayer. The final chapters are powerful, refreshing, and filled with the glory of the Lord.
Pastors desirous of surrounding themselves with a band of intercessors, and laymen with a desire to see prayers answered will be challenged to join together in corporate prayer as they read this important call to renewal. The Chavda's have provided the formula in "The Hidden Power of Watching and Praying."

Great book about the power of a praying saint. God wants us to be alert and watch. Prayer is a powerful tool against the enemy.
