This is a great book to read if you are getting married, just married, or have been married for years. The wisdom that Charlie Shedd imparts in this book is timeless and should be shared with anybody who has anything to do with the act of marriage.
Possibly the most important marriage manual... Nov 10, 2006
...since the Bible.
Charlie Shedd, in his plainspoken way, helps his son Philip lay down the foundations of a great and lasting marriage. With wit and gentleness, Charlie touches on all the elements of a wonderful union from the man's perspective.

This book has wonderful advice on how to be considerate of the differences husbands and wives bring to marriage. By reading and trying to care for the needs of your spouse, the marriage will be blessed even more.
So old fashioned Jul 19, 2005
This little book has some good bits of wisdom in it, but it is also couched in 1950's family roles... expecting the woman to be the house maker and the man is the bread winner... it is a dated concept of personal roles.

This was a very interesting book. It told very key issues on what to expect in marriage and what to do in certain situations. The lay out was very nice and it grew into a great story. The advice given in the story was very helpful. It makes you take a good look at how you treat someone you care about. I feel like treating my girlfriend better. It made me realize how special it is to have some body to love. When you are married there is a special bond and this lays out those points very well. I would consider anyone who is looking at how to treat their wife correctly and to stay with them to read this book. It was a very touching story and it will make you look deep into how you treat someone who you love.
