Item description for Maggie (Center Point Premier Fiction (Largeprint)) by Charles M. Martin...
"When Maggie opened her eyes that New Year's Day some seventeen months ago, I felt like I could see again. The fog lifted off my soul, and for the first time since our son had died and she had gone to sleep--some four months, sixteen days, eighteen hours, and nineteen minutes earlier--I took a breath deep enough to fill both my lungs."
Life began again for Dylan Styles when his beloved wife Maggie awoke from a coma. A coma brought upon by the intense two-day labor that resulted in heartbreaking loss. In this poignant love story that is redolent with Southern atmosphere, Dylan and Maggie must come to terms with their past before they can embrace their future.

Charles Martin is such a realistic writer. His stories are so "human", in that things happen in his books that actually happen to "real people". In "Maggie", his sequel to "The Dead Don't Dance", he writes in such a way you can enjoy this book, even if you didn't read the first one. I had read the first one, which made the second one very exciting! Mary Lee Howard, Andalusia, Alabama
Powerful Aug 1, 2008
This book is not what you expect in a series. It picks up and tells a very different story than the first book. Martin writes by painting with many different colors and textures, and presents places and images with a unique and fresh talent of expression. Distinctive among many excellent Christian Fiction novels, Martin uses memorable characters that readers can relate to, which are everyday people feeling the pain and struggles of everyday life and celebrate in the simple pleasures of living.
Maggie Jul 12, 2008
Maggie was the second book in a two part series by Charles Martin. The series was great and Maggie particularly compelling. Charles Martin is a young author who needs far more recognition in my estimation. His books are compelling, thoughtful, inspirational, and well written. I have read all of his works, and have ordered the new one which will come out this month. Hope he goes far and writes for a long time.
