Charis Chan is an accomplished author of books about China, including "Imperial China: Architectural Guide for Travelers" (Penguin, London, 1992); and "China: the Middle Kingdom" (McGraw-Hill/Contemporary, 1995). She now lives in Dorset, England. Neil Art, a Canadian journalist based in Hong Kong, has worked at several of the leading English-language publications in Asia. Paul Mooney, an American freelance journalist, has 27 years' experience reporting for leading publications such as "Newsweek, Asiaweek", and the "South China Morning Post". He lives in Beijing.
