Item description for Spiritual Treasures from St. Therese of Lisieux: A Book of Reflections and Prayers by Cynthia Cavnar...
Overview In this treasury of reflections and prayers, readers will come to know why St. Therese of Lisieux is considered the greatest saint of modern times-and why she is also recognized as a doctor of the church. Spiritual Treasures from St. Therese of Lisieux presents excerpts from her writings on the major themes of her spirituality to help readers to understand her "little way" of doing everything with great love. In this book, originally published as The Prayers and Meditations of Therese of Lisieux, the chapters focus on topics such as loving God, loving others, embracing suffering, and difficulties in prayer. Each chapter concludes with a reflection and a prayer. Therese's inspiration and wisdom in these selections will lead readers to love God more intensely as they deepen their understanding of the gift of grace he offers to us each day.

Reviews - What do customers think about Spiritual Treasures from St. Therese of Lisieux: A Book of Reflections and Prayers?
This book helped me a lot Jun 21, 2009
"I understand very well why St. Peter fell (denied the good Lord for three times). Poor Peter, he was relying upon himself instead of relying only upon God's strength.... I'm very sure that if St. Peter had said humbly to Jesus: "Give me the grace, I beg you, to follow you even to death", he would have received it immediately."
This small excerpt taken from this book which, faithful to its title, really collects "Spiritual treasures from St. Therese of Lisieux" happened to be read by my at the right moment(providence)... I too was seeking to find my way relying on my own ability.... and failed miserably... until I understood that, yes, I must rely much much much more on the good God's Divine Love and Mercy.... If only, as St. therese suggested, I whould humbly ask the good God to help me trust more in his merciful love - believe me... it made a big difference.
I pray that if you are reading this and are going through my same experience that you be touched by grace and start all over again, this time relying on the good God's strenth and trusting more in his Divine Love and Mercy..... rather than in your own confused self assessment.
