More About Carol Barnier
CAROL BARNIER is a humorist and speaker, frequent radio guest and author, Pastor's kid, Christian. . .and former atheist. These days she admits she takes her God, her faith and her theology very seriously, but herself. . .not so much. To every task she brings along her slightly irreverent humor, whether tackling the issues of being very ADHD, the discomfort at being asked to be the older woman in a Titus program (after all, Titus rhymes with phlebitis--proceed with caution), or how to love today's "woman at the well." But in her latest project--bringing tools and hope to the parents of prodigals, Carol rolls up her sleeves and shares ideas and stories from the heart and from her own journey. In every talk, every article, every interview and every book, it is her objective to not only inspire people, but to give them something they can take home and use immediately. She lives in Connecticut with her husband of 25 years and her three kids.
Carol Barnier was born in 1960.

Reviews - What do customers think about The Big What Now Book of Learning Styles: A Fresh and Demystifying Approach?
Must have resource Mar 2, 2010
I would tell any mom I know, homeschooling or otherwise, to get this book and keep it handy. For any child struggling with understanding or focusing, there is an idea in here to help them learn. Topics are well organized for ease of use, which comes in handy when you and your child both feel like pulling your hair out over a learning obstacle.
Carol has long been a source of laughs and inspiration for me. This book adds to her helpfulness and support on the most practical level. Do yourself a favor and add this book to your collection of tools. You'll use it for years to come.
A Must Have Mar 2, 2010
I have found many of Carol's books and seminars extremely helpful. This book has helped me to understand my son and adapt my teaching style to his learning styles which have changed over the past 8 yrs. An excellent resource for all homeschooling families.
Single best homeschool resource I have found! Mar 1, 2010
I'm a homeschooling mom of 5 children ages 10 yrs- 2 yrs. I've been homeschooling for 5 yrs and have spent many hours researching and reading items online, at homeschool conferences, etc. Last summer I bought this book after listening to the author speak at a homeschool convention.
No single homeschool resource has fired me up as much as this single book! I couldn't put it down. Carol Barnier has WONDERFUL and creative ideas for making our homeschool fun and exciting. These ideas aren't way out there--they are very practical and easy to implement. My kids and I have reaped the benefits of her creativity and ability to "think outside the box" throughout this school year and I am very grateful to have found such a wonderful resource to teach my "hands-on" learners.
If you are looking to make your homeschool--or just your time with your kids--both fun and educational, you will want to take a look at this book!
Highly Encouraging Resource! Mar 1, 2010
This is a fabulous resource! The ideas are practical and easy to implement, and the learning style concepts are presented in a different way from other books on the subject. I have owned this book for ~9 months now, and it is one that I find myself referring to frequently for ideas and encouragement.
Use it again and again! Mar 1, 2010
This book is awesome! Not only will you use it now, but I suspect you will be picking it up again and again to refresh your flagging homeschool days. Carol has many, many useful ideas in here that can be applied both to your high energy, highly distractable, kinesthetic child(ren) but also to the ones that are just as typical as a child can get. Buy it!! PS -- The customer service is outstanding too. Mine got damaged while being delievered and Carol sent me another one asap, no questions asked!
