Praise will release Drama Oct 21, 2009
I received your book "No More Drama" from one of your parishioners. As I finished the book, I mentioned to her how much I enjoyed the literature. She asked me to let you know how effective the book has been in my life. Initially, I told her no, she then insisted that I do it and as I was still reluctant, I picked up your book and randomly opened it, it landed on page 17, I focused on the sentence that read "Any time we are not obedient we are releasing ourselves from God's anointing;" hmm, talk about conviction.
So I guess I'll tell you what I told her, I really enjoyed the book. For me it was definitely a page turner and it has encouraged me to continue to use my anointing to inspire others. I had to remind a young woman just yesterday that no drama in our lives can ever be bigger than the God we serve. She received the thought and is now looking for avenues to minimize her drama.
At this time in my life, when I am between jobs, finishing school in less than two months and facing decisions that only I can make for my future, your book came as an inspiration for me to remember who I am in Jesus. It has reminded me that it is only in believing God and walking in His will that I will succeed. In the chapter "Drama at Midnight" you focused on the experience of Paul and Silas illustrating that fact that the Word says it was at midnight, Paul and Silas had come to a point where the only thing they could do was praise God. God revealed to me that it was their praise that released them from their drama.
One reason I was reluctant to respond was because I viewed the current drama in my life as a hindrance but your chapter entitled "Walk in the Spirit" reminded me "in due season I will reap if I faint not." Thank you Bishop McCarter, your book has truly encouraged me to remember my praise will release me from my drama.
I want to suggest your book to the Young Christian Women group at my church as a possible study guide for our monthly meetings. I am also looking into acquiring a copy for each of the members of the campus gospel choir that I serve as president. In the meantime, I'll be sure to personally thank that Nidga for my autographed copy.
