Item description for The Missing Page by Carl L. Schlesing...
Overview Twenty-eight-year-old Frank Longstreet goes to Clarksville, Missouri, to be with his mother who is dying of cancer. After the funeral, Frank finds a handwritten journal in the attic that was written by his father who deserted the family when Frank was four years old. He struggles with his emotions not only from losing his mother but also by what he finds in the journal. As he begins dating former girlfriends, he finds himself in trouble. Because of a mutual attraction he and Gloria have rekindled, he invites her to read the journal. Like Frank, she is fascinated by what she reads concerning his father, particularly the hardships he endured and the medals he won during World War Two. When they reach the end of the journal, there are even more questions. They decide the answers lie in Germany, and they go there together for the dramatic conclusion.
