Reviews - What do customers think about Moses: Man of God (Bibletime)?
God's Faithfulness shines through Sep 3, 2009
This book covers a brief biography of Moses from the time of his birth, his floating basket and faithful family and how he was adopted into Pharaoh's family for the deliverance of God's people out of slavery. Learn of Moses' sin of murder and deceit prior to heading God's command to lead his people out of bondage in Egypt. The 10 plagues are covered, including the death of the first born and how the Hebrew families were spared by sacrificing an unblemished lamb, pointing us to Jesus on the Cross who died for the sins of man. See how the people were led out of bondage and how quickly they disobeyed God, even as God was providing for them.
As with other Bibletime books, this one is superbly well written with greater depth than typical Bible passages retold in story form for children. Young readers who still enjoy picture books but ready for more text will appreciate this book and others in the Bibletime series. The illustrations are well done and appealing without depicting graphic detail.
My son, who just turned 7 says that he "really enjoys the Bibletime books since they contain more details than his other `Kids Bibles' but aren't as `tough' as reading the big Bible with no pictures."
Overall this is a well-written book and also one that Christian home educators would appreciate for new and quickly advancing young readers.
