Item description for Esther (The Anchor Yale Bible Commentaries) by Carey A. Moore...
Esther reads like a novel, with its fast-paced, action-packed story. Yet its apparent lack of religious elements, when taken with its absence from Qumran and its questionable historicity have led some to question whether it should be included in sacred scripture at all. This volume addresses these issues.

Reviews - What do customers think about Esther (The Anchor Yale Bible Commentaries)?
A really good book for me Oct 23, 2001
A lot of the people at my church read the Bible funny. The think everything is true and that if you don't believe it all then you're not a Christian. I don't believe them. I bought this book to help me understand the book of Esther in the Bible. It has helped me teach those people in my church about an important woman in the Bible because they only like Jesus and not women.
