Item description for Spiritual Gifts (Uncommon) by Jim Burns & Doug Fields...
Overview Two noted youth leaders take high school students through a study of the spiritual gifts listed in Scripture and then work through an exercise to help them discover their own gifts.
Publishers Description Adolescence can leave a young person feeling particularly "ungifted," like they don't fit in anywhere. But that is not what God has in mind. He has given every believer, young and old, unique spiritual gifts to build up His body. In Spiritual Gifts Uncommon High School Group Study, Jim Burns and Doug Fields, noted leaders in youth ministry, take high school students through a study of the spiritual gifts listed in Scripture and then work through an exercise to help them discover their own gifts and how to use them. Watch teens come to life when they discover that they are gifted and have much to offer the body of Christ.

Don't waste your time Jan 25, 2010
Don't waste your time on this. The DVD is not much help. It says forty-five minutes, but all that you get are several 2 and 3 minute talks that are not worth the time to put the DVD into the player and set everything up. Because the book goes with the DVD, the two together are not worth the money. I have never accused anyone of writing something just to get published, but both of these authors should have known better. It is as if they had good intent but did little to put together good content.
This is only half the set Jun 18, 2009
I haven't had a chance to fully read the book, but it looks good so far and has some good exercises. Maybe it said so in the description and I missed this, but the book is only intended to be used in conjunction with a DVD which does not come with it. So on a given page it will say "Insert DVD now and then discuss it with the studetns". So just be forewarned that to use the book effectively, or to even evaluate the content for your group, you really need the DVD that goes with it.
need the video'' Feb 14, 2009
I got this for my daughter at her request. She later told me she needs the video. Would be great in class.

This book is suppose to come with a cd but I was not aware of that. The lessons are good but without the CD you can't get the most oout of it.
