that's pretty much the impression I got from it. Now the comic isn't horribly bad where you have no idea what's going on it's just well underdevolped.
The basic idea behind karney is that a bunch of side show freaks come to town and start raping and killing people. And to tell the truth I'm a fan of raping and killing in my comics but here it just doesn't seem like it's worth any merit. You also never get any emotional devolpment or interesting charcters, instead what you get is red necks and side show freaks who kill the rednecks. though I did think that there were two charcters in the book with a backstory that seemed interesting, but to go completly against horror movie standards they're killed off early while the remaining cast of charcters seem to bore you with there simplicity.
So why did I give it two stars instead of 1? well I did feel that karney did do some things right like the art isn't half bad (though it's nothing amazing) and if you are looking for a book about side show freaks killing people this would satisfy you.
But for the rest of us I say don't buy this trade, and if you have some intrest in it I reccomend hoping that you have a friend that bought it and is willing to lend it to you or if you can find it at a library that loans comic books that would work too.
