Reviews - What do customers think about The Change Your Life Challenge: A 70-Day Life Makeover Program for Women?
Nothing New; Too Much Paperwork Aug 13, 2007
I'm a pretty organized person and have read my share of time management and self-help books so I didn't learn anything new from this book. (I wanted to become more organized and learn new tips as I have become a mother recently and work full-time.) The book is often vague in what to do or how to action -- you need to buy the workbook to learn what Brook is talking about. I paid an extra $18 for the workbook only to find that it was full of tables to complete (phone numbers, addresses, etc...things that I already have organized in one place). Not worth it. I asked for a refund.

This is the first book on "organizing" that has helped me to be a better person as well. Its step-by-step approach eased me into a new way of looking at my life, and helped me to focus on the things that truly matter. While the book refers to worksheets and a workbook companion, they are optional and you can adapt the program to the techniques you are already using (in my case - Palm Pilot). I have already recommended it to every woman I know!
To each his ..or her... own Jun 8, 2006
The program is simple to follow, initially. However, the whole process becomes saturated with very corporate-type lists, to-dos, phone logs, reflections, Happy Half Hours, reference lists, etc. It can be a great system with well-intentioned guidelines for those wanting very rudimentary basics of how to be a fully alive human being vs. a workoholic robot or stressed out mom of three. Fine for some people. If you're into someone else's idea of how to control YOUR life and those precious hours in it because you are stumped for ideas yourself, this book will rate 5 stars for you. Upon completing the 70th day, the suggested amount of time for CYLC tasks amounts to over 2 hours of Brook Noel's preferred way of handling things per day. This won't rate high for those who have independent, creative spirits and just want a little coaching and nudging in a more streamlined direction. Plus, this book will cost way more than the initial price with the supplies you have to buy in the beginning. You could always just buy a DayTimer and go from there, because that's pretty much the set-up the author borrows. Also, the book had a few pages missing, some typos and mistakes. A complete oversight noone had 'copyediting' as a to-do on their list?

I have tried several organize your life books and this one is helping me do that. Thanks very much. Brenda
INCREDIBLE! Feb 1, 2006
This program has changed my life and made such a visible differance that all my friends are amazed at the changes they have seen. I feel so much more in control of my life and don't worry about what I may have forgotten and even have to search through piles to find lost stuff.
