Item description for God's Way Of Holiness by Horatius Bonar & Bonar Horatius...
Overview Bonar explains that the way of peace and the way of holiness lie side by side. Peace may come first but the Spirit of peace IS the Spirit of holiness. You cannot say you have peace whilst living with sin, you cannot say you have holiness, if you are not consciously reconciled with God and the fellow believers. Each chapter starts with a list of helpful helpful scripture passages to set the scene for the ensuing discussion. There are also extensive notes in an appendix that discusses some crucial questions best answered outside the main narrative
Community Description The second book in the series following on from the bestselling Rainforest AdventuresChildren are fascinated with the natural world around them and with facts and information about animals that they have never seen. However often good nature programmes on T.V. or articles in magazines centre on evolution and completely ignore the Creator.
Each story has a Bible verse and lesson for the reader to take away. Written by someone who spent his life in the Rainforest this book has the added benefit of being written by someone who has been there lived there and experienced the culture not just someone who has read the encyclopaedias.

Reviews - What do customers think about God's Way Of Holiness?
Classic treatment of an often misunderstood concept Jul 28, 2000
Horatius Bonar is a "Marrow Man" through and through as he tackles an often misunderstood concept of how a Christian is to pursue holiness of life. Bonar recognizes that striving for holiness without the proper motivation will always result in mixed obedience and frustration on the one hand or a self-righteous legalism on the other. Only the love of God in Christ, experientially known, can truly motivate the sinful heart to pursue holiness with "fear and trembling." This book is exceptional and should be read by every pastor who ever wondered why his congregation lacked a zeal for Christ-likeness.
