Publishers Description This PROMISE KEEPERS Bible study provides you with seven clear, simple steps that will enable you to live one day at a time with Christ, led and empowered by the Holy Spirit.STATUS QUO OR SPIRITUAL VITALITY?As Christian men, we know the feeling. We return home from a church service or a retreat excited about our walk with God and brimming with optimism about how this time what we've heard is going to make a real difference in the way we live. And yet, within a matter of days (or sometimes within a matter of minutes) our hopes are dashed on the rocks of "life as usual."For many of us, it's not motivation we lack. We want to live a joyful, Christ-centered life. We certainly aren't lacking information, either. We've heard and read and talked about what our lives should look like. What's missing for many of us is a strategy for putting what we know into practice."Our life in Christ is not a natural phenomenon," writes Dr. Bob Beltz. "It is a supernatural phenomenon. We need to learn how to tap into the power source of a daily walk with Christ." In Daily Disciplines for the Christian Man, Dr. Bob Beltz gives us seven clear and simple steps that will enable us to live one day at a time with Christ, led and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Reviews - What do customers think about Daily Disciplines for the Christian Man?
Successful? Intelligent? High Integrity?...Broken? Jul 22, 1999
I did everything I was supposed to and excelled at it; college, grad school, career. Spent 15 years on the fast track with a fortune 50 company, had the house, the cars, excelled at sports, raced motorcycles; I wouldn't trade my life for anybody elses.
After my last marriage (2 before that)failed with me working on it as hard as I have ever worked on anything, I knew something was missing. This book was recommended and I found it very insightful and practical. If you despise "religion" but have come to the realization that there is something to this "spirituality thing", you might enjoy this Christian book.
A Life Changing Book Nov 20, 1998
I first read Daily Disciplines for the Christian Man in 1995 after returning from a PromiseKeepers conference. I remembered this book, chapter four, particularly, recently while planning a Men's Bible Study. It seemed to be appropriate for the five of us. For one of us in the group, Chapter four "pulled everything together for him" though he had become a Christian many years before. I felt I was seeing the Spirit filling him completely in the group meeting after he read that chapter. No one had ever seen him so spirit-empowered before. The next day, his plane went down and he was killed. The Bible says that God knows the number of days in our lives. The Holy Spirit had used that "little book that he loved so much" to bring him close to Him so that his wife and children know without a doubt that he is with God today.
