A Must Read Jul 3, 2006
An incredible debut novel. It is very well written and fast paced. The author manages to weave together multiple interrelated stories that build toward a fantastic crescendo. The beginning of the novel delves into war torn Germany at the end of WWII, as the Nazi's scramble to salvage and secure their secrets. The novel then changes gears to modern day society. At large are secret societies, a serial killer, and an unlikely anti-hero. The best part is that this appears to be just the first novel of a seven part series. The author actually inserts a teaser at the end of this novel - he gives you the first chapter of his sequel. Overall, this is a great book and a great new author. I can't wait to read the next novel.
