Ramona's back and more fun than ever as she enters the fourth grade in this newest addition to the Ramona series. And things are off to a rousing start for the perky ten year old when she has a great first day of school, writing a gem of an essay about her new baby sister Roberta, and making a new best friend. But her elation is short-lived when she discovers that her spelling is in dire need of attention and Mrs. Meacham isn't quite as nice as she first appeared. Of course, the cast for Ramona's fourth grade adventures wouldn't be complete without big sister Beezus, annoying Susan, and the increasingly appealing Yard Ape. They're all here, along with a few new faces to delight listeners with the continuing adventures of a spunky heroine who's an inspiration to generations of fans the world over.

WE ADORE RAMONA IN OUR HOME Jan 27, 2007
I just finished reading this book to my elementary-aged daughters, and we had such a blast! I remember loving the Ramona books as a little girl in the 70s, and I was surprised to see some newer ones out.
As a parent, it's so refreshing to read a book where the humor is clean, and the author sees a need to preserve childhood. So many books today try to corrupt the innocent minds of children.
Each chapter of the book has a clear story arc and can be read as a stand-alone bedtime story. Yet unlike a short story, this children's novel gave us something to look forward to every night at bedtime. We couldn't wait to see what would happen next!
We don't want the series to end and hope Mrs. Cleary will write at least one more Ramona book!

My forever favorite seris May 16, 2006
Beverly Cleary is amazing at bringing the spunky little Ramona to life. Ramona can always find trouble. Her family seems so real and the situations are so funny. I have been reading Ramona since I was little and even now as a teen, I still re- read her books. When I started writing myself, the Ramona books were my inspiration. Without them I wouldn't have read as much or never even started writing. They are so wonderful and fun to read. No matter what age you are, you will love them.

Ramona's World By: Beverly Cleary Review By: F. Fang Period. 3
Ramano's World is a fun book too read. It is about a girl named Ramona who is 9 years old. Ramona has a mom and dad, a big sister and a little one too. She was excited because her mom and dad just got a baby sister and she was really excited too see her. When she first saw her she was so surprised how little finger she had. She was in the forth grade and she was always a good girl. When she started fifth grade she met a new best friend. I liked this book because it was really interesting. It was interesting because I was once in 4th grade too and too see how she went through 4th grade was pretty exciting. Ramona goes wants too be a big girl. She was not concerned about the 4th grade. She just learned how too put up with all of the teachers. Until one day Yard Ape dropped her a little nope while he was walking too the pencil sharpener and it was a note from the teacher. How teacher tells other kids too give other kids note is weird because I did not do that in 4th grade. One part I disliked in the book is when Ramona was sad just because she wanted too argue with her mom instead of let her mom agree on what she wanted too do. I think that's pretty weird because most kids would be happy they don't have too argue too get what they want but Ramona actually wants too fight and argue with her mom too persuade too her that her new friend Daisy is a nice girl. This was the only part I did not really like. My favorite part of this book is when Ramona and Daisy go to Daisy's house and play dress up. It was a pretty exciting part. While I was reading this chapter I was totally laughing. I think that playing dress is really fun. That's why I liked this part so much. Ramona gets a big red dress and Daisy get a yellow one with glitter on it and they pretend too be superstars. Wearing high heels and walking on a red carpet. This is my favorite part of the story Ramona's world.
