Item description for Soulish Leadership by Bert Farias...
Overview This book is for everyone who longs for purity of heart and desires to be at peace in the core of his or her being. Readers will discover if they are building their kingdoms or the kingdom of God?
Publishers Description This book is for everyone... who longs for purity of heart. who desires to be set aright in the core of his being. Who dreads God's disapproval more than man's. Whose greatest phobia is the fear of a wasted life and burned-up works. The works that endure God's testy fire will one day be rewarded. Others will suffer loss(1 Cor.3:13-15). Will your works stand the fire or will they go up in smoke. In that day the motive of every heart will be made clear. Leaders will be judged by a higher standard. Only one question will matter then, and it's the same question that matters now: Are you building your kingdom or the kingdom of God?

Reviews - What do customers think about Soulish Leadership?
If only all pastoral ministries were at this level! Nov 11, 2009
Oh if only all pastoral ministries were at this level!
Such a great percentage of Christian ministry is characterized by jealousy, envy, play-acting, self-promoting, self-defensive and self-focused behavior. All which is hidden under 1001 highly choreographed religious cloaks.
Churches are filled with ministries who are wonderfully trained to perform "the liturgical functions" but who are sadly lacking in true spiritual maturity. And the house is consequently full of believers who have no eye to discern the difference between true spiritual maturity and maintaining a disciplined outer appearance.
In this "Quid-Pro-Quo", "I'll scratch your back-you scratch mine", "I'll promote your preeminence - you promote mine", "Good-Ol-Boys Club" system; where ministries work together very diligently to keep God's people from seeing the little men behind the curtains, Bert Farias draws open the veil revealing that which all pastors know about one another, and work so diligently to keep you from seeing.
Soulish-carnal-ministry cleverly cloaked over by a multitude of religious fig-leaves. Congregations calling for a king and getting what they ask for (1st Samuel 8)
The maturing of the saints (Ephesians 4:11-12) has been long ago abandoned, replaced by the drive to expand our ministerial piece-of-the-pie with a guild of salaried professionals.
How can the church be delivered from further generations of soul dominance? Buy walking straight into the bright spot-light of the Holy Spirit, instead of maintaining a strategic business-as-usual distance from it.
If you are familiar with the topic of soulish Christianity, this book will be a reinforcement of those truths. If you are not familiar with this topic, this book will be a real eye-opener for you!
