This is an excellent series of books. My 8 year old nephew Dakota loves animals and loves to read. He consistently receives the highest marks in reading in his class. He has also received awards for his reading abilities. These books are creative. They stimulate his vocabulary development. He loves the animals featured in the books. I believe this is a series of books we will be buying for him for awhile.
Parents and teachers, BEWARE Feb 24, 2005
If you have a sensitive child, BEWARE of this book. One early chapter describes in agonizing detail the suffering, euthanasia and burial of a beloved poodle. Any child who cares about animals will be distressed reading this chapter, as I and my 8yo daughter were. We could read no further. Her classmate then told me "that's not all, look at this!". She pointed to an illustration from another chapter, where movie actors are shown running from something - note the man on the right with a (fake) bloody dagger protruding from his chest. This book does not belong on your child's reading list.
My first Animal Ark Jan 21, 2005
THis was my first animal ark book and I absolutly love it. I have read it many times and have always enjoyed the ending. I have expanded my collection to include many other books but this book is one of my personal favorites. My sister is now interested in the books and own her own collections this book is one of her favoites too.
Bark!Bark! Animal Ark!! Aug 6, 2003
A film crew have come to town but their star dog goes missing! And Jessie seems to be in a fragile condition.
I love puppies Jan 14, 2003
I read Puppies in the Pantry. I thought it was a good book because I love puppies. The dogs are Jack Russell terriers. I think second grade and up could read this book because there are easy words and big letters. I really like this book and I hope you like it to.
