I enjoyed reading this book...you'll definitely laugh. She's got a way of making you see how you CAN laugh at everyday life, even when you're in the thick of it.
But I was surprised by the size of the book when I received it. (They give the dimensions on this site, but I've never looked at them...I will now!) :-) This book is a little bigger than 4x6 and is less than half an inch thick. You could read it cover to cover in a half hour. So, it seems a bit overpriced to me.
It's a good read, but in retrospect, I wouldn't purchase it again.
doesn't translate on audio Aug 7, 2006
while this might be a great read, the humor and timing does not translate to audio. It comes off as a boring narrative.
good Feb 15, 2006
a pretty good read, its a few years old but i still enjoyed it - the material doesnt get outdated.
Laugh 'til the tears flow Jun 30, 2004
Quick simply, Johnson has again provided a book that is both true to life and very funny. Her ability to remind us of the humorous side of life, even when life might be hurting, too, is a gift to be treasured. When I first picked up this book to skim it - borrowed from a friend - I laughed so much I had to stop reading because I was crying with laughter, unable to see and with an aching side. I tried to stay away from it, but had to continue reading - and thit all happened again. And again. Get it, read it, enjoy it, and share this gift of laughter with your friends!
