Reviews - What do customers think about Teaching Children Bible Basics: 34 Lessons for Helping Children Learn to Use the Bible?
Buyer beware!! Jun 18, 2007
I was saddened to find these words in the first lesson of this book about 'how the Bible came to be': "Tell them that some of the stories may have gotten repeated differently, but the main story was pretty much the same. Some of the details may be exaggerated..." I bought this book hoping to simplify teaching my own children about the Bible, but this goes against what we believe - that the Word of God is infallible and inspired by the Holy Spirit - His words, not man's. To say that it has been exaggerated and changed is to say that it is not reliable! Had I looked more closely at it in the online preview, I would not have bought this resource!
what I needed for a small group Feb 13, 2007
I was looking for an introduction study of the Bible for Sunday School. Our classes are not very big and this material could easily be adapted for large or small.
Great material! Jun 19, 2006
The lessons are interesting, useful, fun, and don't involve a lot of preparation or materials.
