SAGE SISTERS May 28, 2008
I just finished reading this book and as a 'Sister' in the ministry found it helpful to read of the struggles, blessings, lessons and advice that was shared. Women in ministry have to help others on the journey - always remembering that we do what we do and endure what we do because we are CALLED of GOD to do so - knowing that GOD has a plan and a purpose for it all! SISTER IN CHRIST Mar 10, 2008
THIS IS AN AWESOME BOOK AND A MUST READ FOR ANY WOMAN IN MINISTRY BUT ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE OF US THAT ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN. I HAVE PURCHASED IT FOR SOME OF MY FELLOW SISTERS IN THE MINISTRY AND THEY ALL HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT AS A MUST HAVE.IT IS ENCOURAGING, UPLIFTING AND VERY INFORMATIVE.
AS I BEGAN THIS JOURNEY IN MINISTRY IT IS SO WONDERFUL TO HAVE A BOOK THAT I CAN REFER TO CONCERNING WOMEN IN ORDAINED MINISTRY. I BELIEVE IT IS USEFUL TO WOMEN IN THE MANY AREAS OF MINISTRY BE IT PREACHING, TEACHING OR EVEN DIRECTORS IN THE MUSIC AREA OF MINISTRY. IT IS A CHALLENGE TO STEP IN TO A MALE-DOMINATED PROFESSION. THIS BOOK PROVES TO BE A USEFUL TOOL.
