Overview Gentle introduction to deliverance: case histories of individuals set free when God releavled the specific source of the problem.
Publishers Description This book shows that there is help for oppressed, tormented, and compulsive people, and that the solution is as old as the ministry of Jesus Christ. Find answers to such questions as: Why has modern medicine and science failed to cure millions of emotionally disturbed people? Why are increasing numbers of individuals developing mental disorders? Is it possible that there is another explanation for the voices people hear, or for the compulsions that they experience? Could it be that the real solution lies within the spirit of man? From over 30 years of counseling and ministering deliverance, in the United States and abroad, Bill Banks highlights the common root causes of emotional and mental torment, and walks the reader through steps to be set free. Read numerous case studies of people who have been delivered from their torments and fears, including testimonies of over 60 spirits: Suicide, Fear of Starvation, Colic, Smoking, Marijuana & Drugs, Crippling, Ulcers, Anger, Murderous Rage, Abuse of Women, Gluttony, Harlotry, Incest, Occult, Homosexuality, Pornography, Sleeplessness, Sterility, and more. New Edition Includes a section on the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Reviews - What do customers think about Power For Deliverance/Songs Of Deliverance?
Songs of Deliverance (Power for Deliverance Series) Nov 6, 2009
This book (Songs of Deliverance) is an excellent book. The truths in this book are very believable for me because I have a back ground in deliverance. An excellent source of information and education. Everyone should buy this book. Every house hold needs it. It's not always the things that we know that can hurt us, but it's also the things that we don't know. The book is not too long or too short. The reading is simple and understandable. We need to know what beings live here on earth besides us.
uplifted and blessed by this book Mar 26, 2009
I really liked this book. Very informative and all the information was firmly backed up biblically. I learned a lot about myself and others.... had a few of those "ah ha" moments, not quite epiphanies but definitely a light bulb shined into a few darker areas.
If you are a Christian I recommend this little book for your library. I have the whole series and they are all extremely well written (with love and care for the readers) and are firmly based on God's word.
I would like to say that if you are a new believer, a baby in the word, I believe that you would get a lot more from this book and the rest in this series if you were to use them in a disciple situation.... i.e., where an older more mature believer would study with you so you can both prayerfully seek what you should from these little books.
Very powerful. Highly recommend.
Don't judge the book by it's cover Jan 17, 2008
I almost didn't by this book because the cover sort of creeped me out, it looks like some pagan sun worship scene. But I felt a nudge to buy it anyway, and I'm very glad I did! There's a lot of good information, helpful guidelines and what he's writing about seems to coincide with what I'm discovering in my own brief foray into the ministry of deliverence. His treatment on forgiveness on pg.83 seems most helpful, and I look forward to incorporating it into the deliverence sessions. It seems to be a very down to earth, honest, easy to read and insightful book. As I said I'm pretty new to this type of ministry, but I'm prayerful, and cautious in what I read, and I'm pretty delligent about double checking an author and the way he references scripture, in my opinion Mr. Banks does a fine job of handling the word of God. I would reccomend this book, and this author to anyone who's interested in or is (as in my case) just getting started in deliverence ministry. My own inexperience prohibits me from going beyond that Mr. Banks has been involved in deliverence and healing since the early '70s so I think he has plenty of experience to base his teaching on, I'm already putting together a wish list of more of his books. Hope this helps others to get beyond the cover.
