Item description for Unlikely Hero by Nicole Cook Ashley...
Bridget Kenzington and her best friends Charisma Brown are trying to survive High School with the likes of snotty, rich girl Mandy who seems to get a thrill out of torturing them with her sharp tongue. Bridget's Mother is an overly dramatic stage actress, her father barely looks up from the newspaper, Bridget mostly just does her own thing. She's a typical teen...or is she? Bridget knows she's different, she can feel something strange, some power within her. She realizes that she has a Mesmer power. Her power makes it so she can mesmerize people into doing what she wants. After class one day, Bridget, Charisma and tag-along popular boy Mitch find themselves in a time stop. They are alone in a deserted hallway. They each try different doors and each door leads to a different world. Bridget must save the fairies from some unknown evil that threatens both them as well as all human kind. Bridget meets Arugatha and Eroik. The two fairy soldier types who must train her in using her powers. Charisma gets intercepted by her father's spirit and takes a trip down memory lane to relive moments that were defining for her. Moments that had hardened her heart. She goes through a lot as she relives these memories and sees them all in a new light. Mitch goes to olden times where he eets an army of knights. Turns out that one of them, Francianto, is privvy to the events going on with the fairies in the other world and knows why Mitch is there. Lots of adventure and twists and turns!

As the author... Jul 29, 2007
As the author of this book, I would just like to say how totally happy I am that this is now listed on this site. It's listed on various other book sites as well. I one-hundred percent loved writing it and am looking forward to seeing how well it does now that it's been loosed upon the world...ha. Okay, enough rambling from me right now because I do enough of that through my characters in the book. If anyone would like to contact me personally...you'll just have to buy the book and get my e-mail address off of the "About the author" section. In all seriousness though, I hope everyone who reads it loves it...well I do realize that not EVERYONE will LOVE it, but hopefully no one like only uses it as a coffee table book, prop for a table leg, or as a conversation piece:(*Fake British accent*) "Ah yes, brilliant book this one. Top marks. It was very informative and intriguing. Clever girl that Ashley. She sure has a lot to say, ah yes indeed." I hope that you all enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. I said enjoy. Trust me, I'll know whether you did or not...I have my ways...
