Great book! Mar 12, 2007
This book is one I'd recommend for any life challenges, although it is geared towards divorce. I like the scripture at the start of each chapter/devotional. And Kristin Armstrong expains some of her own struggles and how she continues to overcome and focus on God to get through them, without bitterness or resentment... Inspiring and uplifting! A ray of hope. :)
Happily Ever After-Walking through divorce with peace and courage Mar 11, 2007
This book really helped me relate to other people facing my situation. I kept having this "why me" attitude and after I read it I realized that we have to embrace every experience life has to offer and come out better and stronger on the other side. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone facing a divorce.
Thank you Kristin! Mar 8, 2007
This is a beautiful book and a true inspiration. I am going through a divorce with two very young children and I have been looking for the perfect book. I found it here in both content and format. I found several books on divorce that were just `too much' for me to handle: the do's and don'ts, the pros and cons, the testimonies, the ex, the children, the life. I wasn't there psychologically to even plug through those books yet. Kristin's book is a practical guide of faith and hope. The format is manageable in that it has 365 unique pages so you can read as little as one page per day and still get an inspirational message to help you cope throughout the day. This is a wonderful resource to have for any Christian female who seeks the help of God while pushing through the divorce and healing process. As Kristin says, "It will get you to the other side." Thanks again.
After the first 5 pages I bought more copies Mar 7, 2007
Hits the spot! I am beginning to participate in a caregiving ministy at my church - and my sister sent me this book to use as a resource. After reading the intro and the first 5 pages - I could tell how wonderful it is. I immediately gave it away to a friend beginning the process of divorce - and then bought more copies - one for me and four more to give away!
I wish she did public speaking!
Very Calming Feb 15, 2007
The moment I received this book I immediately started reading it and could not put it down and I actually read the entire book at one sitting. Although I am not going through a divorce nor is anyone close to me, I purchased this book because it is healthy reading material for anyone going through hard times. If you are or have experienced the death of a loved one, loss of a job, severe health problems, loss of a devoted pet, caregiving to an elderly parent or child or any other hardship in your life, this book gives you encouragement and hope in knowing that when you feel you have hit rock bottom, it will all get better through faith and belief...in the Lord and yourself. This book is a beautiful cleansing of the soul and spirit and once you have read the entire book, you WILL feel renewed ! A big "thank you" to Kristin Armstrong for writing this book.
