Item description for Three Days In Europe Volume 1 by Antony Johnston...
Jack loves his job as an ad exec. Jack also loves rock and roll. He especially loves QED. Finally, Jack loves Jill. Jill loves her job at the art gallery. She loves the unique visions and most of all Jill loves Jack. But love is never easy and lately things have been rocky for the couple. Fortunately, Jack has the perfect solution! He's planned the vacation of Jill's dreams - Paris, for a weekend over Valentine's Day, with passes to an invite-only gallery showing - it'll be a complete surprise. Jill's been busy too. She's booked them both a secret trip to London with tickets to a very special QED show. There's just one problem - both trips are scheduled to start the same night! When an airport mishap sends the couple to different destinations, Jack ends up in the middle of a dastardly plot to hijack the gallery's prize exhibit. Meanwhile, Jill ends up in London and before too long she's on the arm of one of the guys in the band! Can Jack and Jill find their way out of their respective predicaments and back into each other's arms?

Reviews - What do customers think about Three Days In Europe Volume 1?
Just average Jul 2, 2004
I thought this book was just so-so. If I could I would rate this a 2.5 (and not 3). I didn't find the main characters particularly likeable and thought there were too many cussings in the dialogue which I found to be very annoying. The vacation was supposed to get the two protagonists closer together but instead they end up sleeping with total strangers! Mind you, they didn't even feel guilty about it. Is that how relationships are now nowadays? My book is now up for sale, it's not worth keeping in my shelf.
An adult Disney-esque romance/comedy... Jan 15, 2004
That's the first thing that I thought of upon finishing this volume. All the characters pop with such life, that I swear the printed page was moving. Imagine Disney making animated films for 20somethings and you've got "Three Days in Europe"
Certainly not your run of the mill superhero comic (in fact, there are no "superheroes" in it), but it's easily accessible to all readers - non-comic readers included.
Well written characters in a well drawn adventure.
AWESOME!! Jan 13, 2004
Just so you know, I am SO not the comic book type. I know who Spiderman and the Hulk are but that's pretty much where my comic book knowledge ends. A friend of mine gave me the book to read. I put up quite a struggle but eventually I gave in. I have to say, I'm so glad I did. This book is AWESOME!!! I have to admit, I am hooked. I need to know what happens to them next! I am hoping to see another "Three Days" story. I think Jack & Jill need to fly off somewhere else. Anyway, you should buy this book... you will love it!
Simply a good book Jan 11, 2004
I used to collect comics when I was younger and got away from them once I hit a certain age but it is books like this that are bringing me back. A friend of mine shot me a link to a review when the book was coming out monthly and it intrigued me...I had to pick it up. This is a very unique book. The audience for it is the main stream...the non-comic reading audience. A comic made for a non-comic audience...you gotta love that. Great art and fun story...I really like this book.
