Item description for Rediscovering Identity by Anthony W. Skipworth...
Overview Rediscovering Identity is a refreshing personal account of how one man was bound in sin with a false identity separated from Christ. The journey chronicles Skip's bondage with alcoholism and other life controlling problems and teaches the reader from a biblical perspective how to break free from the strongholds of a false identity. He very briefly describes his own experience of being rooted in the church but how the influence of sin and modern culture reshaped his identity into something that was false until Christ came to set him free. His life was changed as one man began to invest in his life, teaching him not only how to be free but also how to be one that sets others free. The book not only chronicles this life but also teaches how to reap benefits from a healthy identity, knowing who you are in Christ.

Reviews - What do customers think about Rediscovering Identity?
Must read for those enslaved by addiction May 20, 2005
I liked this book because I could relate to it in many ways. Addiction is a nice word for death in our society. Skip tells it like it is. This book is applicable for whatever is killing you: It could be alcohol or drugs, or it could be your job, your "friends", whatever your unsatiable desires are. Skip lets us in on his deliverance and new life free from those old killers. His honesty is both bold and refreshing, as he relates the truth.
For those who may not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, this book will help you understand the enslavement of all sin (not only the sin of drug addiction). Skip's honest, open and exciting story contains principals applicable to every life. If you have had enough pain, anger and hurt, Skip's honesty will lead you to The Truth, and you will also discover who you are in Christ and will you will be set on the path to true freedom, not just from substance abuse/addiction, but from sin.
Every Christian who reads this book will be able to relate their "old man" to Skip's. Regardless of their "sin of choice", Christians who read "Rediscovering Identity" will remember with joy their own miraculous deliverance as they read Skip's wonderful sharing of his own miraculous journey to joyful and abundant life in Christ.
This book will instill confidence in the walk of everyone who reads it.
