Reviews - What do customers think about The Truth about The Last Days?
I learned so much from this book! Mar 16, 2007
It's very important that Christians understand the prophecies of the last days. Anthony Maiolo examines the dispensationalist claims that have affected so many lives such as my own. With all the hype out and antichrist propaganda, you owe it to yourself to read this book. Become educated about key passages so you can rightly divide the Word of God and not fall pray to sensationalists.
Excellent book, solid doctrine, well-reasoned Jan 20, 2007
Before I read this book, I believed in dispensationalism, a future seven-year tribulation, a future world leader known as the Antichrist, and all the other things I learned from Left Behind and various church services.
After reading this book, I don't believe in any of those things. The doctrines and explanations for those doctrines presented in this book make a lot of sense when looked at in an honest light and with scripture as the final say.
The only reason I gave 'The Truth about the Last Days' 4 stars instead of 5 is because of a few minor editing errors and because I feel the doctrines could be explained and backed up more than they are. However, don't let that stop you from buying the book, because this is an excellent and well-written book definitely worth reading. I highly recommend it.
Can this be the Truth? Yes. Jan 9, 2007
The Truth about the Last Days, by Anthony Maiolo, is definitely a book that I would recommend. Like it or not, there is only one way to interpret the Bible, yet "people today believe that the truth is relative to personal opinion" (pg 9). This philosophy has entered into churches across America. Maiolo's main focus is on disproving Dispensationalism, which is the false system of interpreting the Bible, while keeping in tact other's love for Christ. His book discusses Daniel's Prophecy of the Seventy Weeks, The Rapture and Christ's Second Coming, Israel and the Church, The Antichrist, and The Binding of Satan and the Thousand Years. One may think that this is just another way to try to confuse and divide followers of Christ across the country but I encourage you to buy the book and search for yourself. So open up your mind and your heart and you will be amazed at what this book has to offer.
