There have been thousands of books written about prayer and millions of sermons preached about it, yet people continue to wonder: Why doesn't God answer me when I cry out to him? In light of all the problems we face in life, we want to know why God is often so "silent" when we pray to him. Anthony DeStefano, author of the bestselling" A Travel Guide to Heaven, " knew there had to be an answer to this mystery, so he set out on a quest to find prayers that God says yes to" all the time." The result is an extraordinary new book that has the ability to dramatically change the lives of readers of all faiths. Each short, powerful prayer in "Ten Prayers God Always Says Yes To" addresses a particular problem people commonly face in life--from accepting the existence of God to trying to make ends meet; from getting through terrible suffering to coping with everyday stress; from overcoming fear to finding your God-given destiny. Presented with a certainty and vigor that are sure to pique the interest of even those who are not spiritually inclined, these prayers will help readers find solutions to life's most difficult situations and provide meaningful and inspiring answers to the vexing questions we have about the purpose of our time on earth. In a world awash with superficial self-help books and deceptive gimmicks, "Ten Prayers God Always Says Yes To" is the real thing. Using hundreds of scriptural references to support his claims, DeStefano writes in a simple, straightforward, and uplifting manner that makes the most profound theological matters understandable to all. In the words of the author, "This is a spiritual treasure chest that is available to everyone....This book is about prayers that work--really, truly work."
From Publishers Weekly Books on prayer are legion, most often focusing on why we should pray and how to do it correctly. DeStefano, author of A Travel Guide to Heaven, offers readers a refreshing look at this evergreen topic by focusing on 10 prayers God "always" answers. "Why don't people take advantage of prayers that work? One big reason is that they are so caught up in prayers that don't always work," says DeStefano. He offers readers this guarantee: "before you even get to the last page of this book, your life will begin to change before your eyes." Prayers include "God, show me that you exist," "God, forgive me," "God, give me courage" and "God, lead me to my destiny." DeStefano uses the Christian Bible as the foundation for his work, not offering quick fixes but instead expounding on the need for true repentance, right motives and genuine commitment. More conservative camps will most likely cluck at what they see as DeStefano's lack of firmness about salvation as a prerequisite to both heard and answered prayer, but a careful reading shows that the author understands faith, not selfishness, is the foundation for these prayers. His cheerful style and heartfelt faith make this an optimistic look at a timeless subject. Copyright 2007 Reed Business Information.

Reviews - What do customers think about Ten Prayers God Always Says Yes To: Divine Answers to Life's Most Difficult Problems?
Great book! I now use the prayers everyday May 19, 2010
This was such a wonderful book to read. The author presents the prayers in such a simplistic but thought provoking way that it opens your mind up to new possibilities. I was also amazed at the what the author made me look at the death of Christ. The way he explained it completely broke my heart over our savior's sacrifice deeper than it has ever been broken before. I think every Christian should read this book. I plan to read it many times.
I also have now added the great prayer that the author wrote to combine all ten prayers as part of my daily morning an evening prayer recital. I am thankful for such a wonderful book. It shall remain one of my all-time favorite reads:)
Must Read Book for All Christians Apr 11, 2010
I read the audio version of this book and found it to be a great read. It helped me understand why these are the prayers God answers yes to when we pray to Him. It will definitely make my prayer life a lot more meaningful to me in the future. I appreciate this author writing this kind of book for all of us to enjoy for years to come. If prayer is an important aspect in your Christian life, you will find this to be a great book to read like I did. It also helped me seek different ways of praying these prayers to God and how I can approach it in a more effective manner. I know God is more concerned with the fact that we pray rather than how we pray. As my title says, this book is a must read for all Christians. Hope you enjoy the book as much as me. Blessings!

I loved this book. Once I began reading it, I couldn't put it down. I'm always looking for new information to use for teaching my women's bible study and I found it very useful. The stories were very interesting and personable. I also found the scripture references to be very helpful.

Book purchase from Hippo-Books Oct 14, 2009
I bought a book from this site, more specifically Hippo-Books. It said "good" condition and I wouldn't argue with that except for one random page (149-150)was ripped out. Annoying, but not the worst thing. I don't know though...$4 shipping on a $5 book? Shipping said it could take 20 days for the $4. I guess I thought that no way could that happen because if you stuck it in a first class, padded envelope and dropped it in the mail, it might take 4-5 days to go across country. But they figured out a way to really make it take that long. The whole thing was hardly worth the wait. It is, however, the first used book I ever bought on the internet...maybe this is all normal? -D.
