More About Anna B. Romanowska, Jonathan D. H. Smith & Jonathan D.H. Smith
I picked this book up because Dr. Smith is one of my advisors at ISU and I haven't been able to put it down since. The style is straight-forward and rigorous but still easy to read. Many of the constructions are presented in terms of diagrams and universal properties so some knowledge of category theory may be helpful. Lots of exercises some easy some not...if you like this book then pick up Dr. Clifford Bergman's notes on universal algebra from the ISU bookstore. John Gillespie
