A must-read Nov 25, 2008
This is a 30-day devotional on the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of those who believe that God has redeemed them through Jesus Christ. It's the most insightful book I have ever read in my 31 years of calling myself a Christian. The relationship of God the Father with his son Jesus, the Spirit-led life, and the role of the church are all discussed at some point or other with the main focus being on who the Holy Spirit is. Each devotional includes scripture, insights, a summary, and a prayer. I actually spend several days on each devotional, reading and re-reading, looking up accompanying scriputre, etc.
I highly recommend this book for everyone...seekers, those curious about Chritianity, life-long believers, church leaders, and especially new Christians. I also encourage those from other faiths who want to know what Christianity and the church should really look like to pick up this book and read it. It will give you a clear picture of what following God looks like at its core without the strappings and flavor lent to Christianity by culture, denomination, history, and worship style. At least that's my two bits.
