Item description for Exposition of Leviticus by Andrew Alexander Bonar...
This is not a verse by verse commentary. Actually the plan of the book is to take the Levitical sacrifices, types, etc. and relate them to the true Sacrifice, Jesus Christ. You will delight in his explanations of the sacrifices and the priesthood. You will learn a great deal more about the atonement, and about the intercession of Christ our Mediator. Very precious. Mr. Andrew Bonar has a keen eye for a typical analogy, but he always keeps his rein on his imagination, and is therefore safe to follow. He is a master in Israel(tm) (C. H. Spurgeon).

Reviews - What do customers think about Exposition of Leviticus?
Lyrical Explanation of an (Unfortunately) Obscure Book May 15, 2002
Most Christians usually skip Leviticus when reading the Bible. They think it's too obscure, or that it belongs to an older audience (i.e. those under the OT Law). Bonar shows the beauty of this ancient text by showing how the shadows of the sacrificial system pointed to Christ and still help those under the New Covenant to see more clearly the beauty of what Jesus accomplished, both as our Substitutionary Sacrifice, and as our Great High Priest. Should be read by all serious Christinas.
