Reviews - What do customers think about Mummies Made in Egypt (Reading Rainbow Book)?
Great Book for Beginning History Mar 25, 2010
I bought this book for my preschooler and kindergartner as a light introduction into what my oldest would begin learning at home in first grade. Both boys loved it and it kept them pretty entertained. I will say that there is a page that describes in detail (with pictures) how the process worked which required some gentle explanation. As well as the topic of belief in multiple gods. Great illustrations and very captivating book.
Great book Aug 19, 2009
I read this book to my 6th grade class, then we listened to a song written about the book. This book is easy for students to understand and has decent illustrations.

What a fantastic book! Apr 9, 2006
This is a very thorough, entertaining, and informative treatment of the subject of mummies. Illustrations in the book were inspired by ancient Egyptian art. This is a great book to supplement any elemenatary study of Egypt.
Great! Jan 3, 2006
What a great book! The author gives really interesting information regarding mummies and how they're made. The illustrations are good too. I liked that the whole book was illustrated without real pictures of mummies as it creeps out my daughter! A great overview of the process the Egyptian priests used to mummify a person.
