Item description for Tozer on the Almighty God: A 366-Day Devotional (Tozer For Today) by a w tozer...
Overview These readings will stimulate your hunger for God, help you know Him by studying His attributes and encourage you to trust, to obey and especially to worship our almighty God.
"Tozer on the Almighty God" by A.W. Tozer is a 366-day devotional that dwells on the awesomeness of the Almighty God and His manifest glory. God's awesomeness is often brought out in human speech with the verbal expression of oath taking. Human vocabulary is far too humble and insufficient to properly articulate the words upon being touched by the Spirit of God Almighty. The power of God is awesome, vast and incomprehensible. This 366-day devotional will help to acquaint you with the complexity of God's character and the power of His grace. In order to satisfy your hunger for a genuine encounter with the Creator, Tozer says there must be humility of spirit. He reminds us of our need for humility when he says that Jesus was "bruised and wounded for our iniquities." The penalty paid on the cross was great, and our love for Him should reflect that. Tozer's daily meditations in this book challenge the believer to become more acquainted with the Triune God and His mysterious ways. He inspires the reader to repent to restore the Divine love in our hearts, as well as worship him constantly Tozer proclaims the mercy of God, saying that God is love who ever does us good

Reviews - What do customers think about Tozer On The Almighty God?
Challenging thoughts Mar 23, 2010
This book was recommended to me by a friend. I found it to be very challenging i a good way. The devotionals are thought-provoking and solid. The only negative is that occasionally there are some references that are not in current English but this hasn't been a big problem. Overall, I highly recommend the book.
Tozer on the Almighty God: A 366-day Devotional Mar 28, 2009
This is a wonderful daily devotional, Tozer has a way of hitting a point and making it so applicable and real, it is wonderful. The writings have been updated so they are very readable and understandable. The length is reasonable so it does not take a lot of time if you are short of time, but it gives you something to think about as the day goes on. This book makes a great thought for the day devotional,or would make a terrific gift. What is nice about this book is that each day is an excerpt from a different writing by Tozer, which is noted, so if you want to learn more on that subject you can go to that book. The devotional is indexed as to Bible verses as well as keyed as to where the writings come from - a great layout! Well done.
